MGM ART

MILES G. MOORE

This page is currently under construction until my new marine wall murals are finished and ready to be displayed, etc.  Here is a picture of John Lennon I did in my youth and that won numerous art shows and was displayed in Washington DC. I know many of you have been waiting patiently for my art work to be available again and I am striving soon to make that happen!

You may ask what type of art will I be bring to a few select galleries, art shows, at my store, and here on this website? My work will be hand crafted and detailed painted carvings of seines of marine scenes and many of the scenes will have a sailing theme. I will be using a unique material to carve my scenes invented by my fathers a renowned marine artist (Ray Moore). Besides using this unique material I will be utilizing a special glass to create a water affect with other natural materials to add to the overall beauty of my scenes.  Some seines I will create from my own mind and from the natural world but I also will take request from clients to create scenes they want (custom and on a limited basis). Each carved mural type scene will be one of a kind and I will not be reproducing or casting the murals to make duplicates. The murals will range in size from only a couple feet to almost any size I or you can imagine!

Just for your enjoyment here is some pictures of a Great White Shark my father mounted and that I will be re-mounting and detailing in the near future. This shark has been in my family sense 1972, it was caught in 1969, sat in a freezer until 1972 when my father mounted it. When it was caught in Westport WA. it weighed $3200 lbs, and was 16 feet long. Also during the time this shark was caught a 21' Great White was caught and was estimated to weigh 5200 lbs (I understand this is the largest Great White on record). A picture of this 21' shark is at historic Tokeland WA. Motel.
